Dear Parents and Families,
Thank you for allowing your student to participate in #GOALS (Go Out and Love Science). It was an honor to spend the day with them.
Today your student met doctors, nurses, and many others who are studying for, teaching, or pursuing careers in healthcare. They learned cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), used an ultrasound machine, conducted a science experiment, and explored different career paths in the “Game of Life.”
We hope you will talk with your student about their experience at #GOALS. Ask them to demonstrate CPR, tell you how they might stitch a wound, or about the people they met. If they are interested in science, please encourage their studies – healthcare is a wide-ranging field with many different career possibilities, both now and in the future.
Many healthcare professions require a college degree. Fortunately, students who live in Detroit and meet eligibility requirements can receive scholarship funding through the Detroit Promise. Please click on the link to learn more.

Muchas gracias por permitir que su estudiante participara en #GOALS (Go Out and Love Science). Fue un honor pasar el día con ellos.
Hoy, su estudiante conoció a doctores, enfermeros y a muchas otras personas que están estudiando, enseñando o trabajando en el área de la salud. Aprendieron reanimación cardiopulmonar (RCP), usaron una máquina de ultrasonido, realizaron un experimento científico y exploraron diferentes profesiones en el "Juego de la Vida".
Esperamos que puedan platicar con su estudiante sobre su experiencia en #GOALS. Pídales que les muestren cómo hacer RCP, que les cuenten cómo se cierra una herida con puntos o sobre las personas que conocieron. Si a ellos les interesa la ciencia, por favor motiven sus estudios; el sector de la salud es un campo muy amplio con muchísimas oportunidades de carrera, tanto ahora como en el futuro.
